About Tennis Predictions
Predicting the outcomes of tennis matches requires a keen understanding of the sport, a deep analysis of various factors, and the ability to interpret data effectively.
On Predict.Tennis we track only official ATP and WTA events, during the current season. This means we do not track any Challenger, ITF or Futures matches (we don't show predictions or statistics for these matches). We show (and count) only singles matches.
Our predictions aim to provide you with essential data to better understand the potential outcome of a tennis match. It is important to note that while our predictions are based on accurate statistics, they should not be taken as 100% guaranteed.
Remember, statistics are accurate, but the end result of a match is subject to the dynamic (or random, sometimes) nature of sports.
Having said that, here are some tips for turning a prediction into a possible winning bet.
What you should consider before making a bet
Player Form: analyze recent performance to assess a player's form, considering factors such as win-loss records, match streaks, and results against different opponents.
Playing Style: each player possesses a unique style, which can influence match outcomes. Analyze serve consistency, shot-making abilities, defensive skills, and adaptability to different court surfaces. We offer such data for each player for the current season.
Head-to-Head Records: evaluate historical matches between players to identify patterns or any advantages one may have over the other. You can find the H2H details on the prediction page, for each surface.
Physical Condition: consider players' physical condition and potential injuries, as they can significantly impact their performance and results. This kind of information is usually in the news.
Analyzing Players Statistics: evaluate serving efficiency, including first-serve percentages, aces per match, and break points saved. A strong serve often leads to an advantage in matches. Also, consider the the players' ability to break their opponents' serve, like return percentages and break point conversion rates.
Assess players' records on different court surfaces, such as hard court, clay, or grass. Some players may excel on specific surfaces (like Nadal on clay, Djokovic on grass or Medveded on hardcourts etc).
External Influences: weather, such as wind, sunny/cloudy or extreme heat, may favor or not certain players. Consider the significance of the tournament for the players involved. Some players may prioritize prestigious events or perform exceptionally well in their home country. Players with higher stakes may exhibit greater determination and focus.
Most common tennis bets
Match Winner: betting on the outright winner of a match is the most common and straightforward market.
Set Betting: predicting the correct scoreline in sets can yield higher odds. Evaluate players' consistency in winning or losing sets by a particular margin to identify potential opportunities.
Game Totals: this market involves betting on the total number of games played in a match.
Handicap Betting: handicap markets adjust the perceived advantage or disadvantage of a player by adding or subtracting games or sets. This allows for more balanced odds.
Tip: sometimes is good to bet while watching the match, so take advantage of this. You can watch the match online directly at a bookie, or simply on TV. Check out the prediction page to see if there's any live streaming available.
Tennis betting and predictions are a bit different from other sports because we're talking about an individual sport. No team effort to rely on, which can sometimes rescue out-of-shape players. Each tennis player is on their own, so their overall shape really matters.
